Also known as Mundarda in WA. Widespread throughout wheatbelt and s coast of WA; Mallee areas of SA and Vic, s to Edenhope area. Generally uncommon in dry, healthy woodland, mallee scrubland and semi-arid heath. Nocturnal, arboreal, terrestrial, eats arthropods and nectar. Shelters in spherical nest of bark and leaves in tree hollow. Breeds any time during year. 2-3 litters a year.
