Also known as Spotted Deer. Introduced; only feral population supposedly around Maryville Creek, w. of Townsville, Queensland. Inhabits grassy dry open-forest; requires access to permanent water. Gregarious; herds of up to 50; nocturnal and crepuscular. grazes on grass, forages on foliage and fruit.
