Uncommon but widely distributed in rainforests and adjacent eucalyptus and melaleuca woodlands of ne Queensland from Mount Spec to Iron Range. Nocturnal, mostly arboreal, moves noisily through canopy, jumping from tree to tree. Generally insectivore, also eats fruit and honey.
